Moonaskis Café is breakfast and lunch restaurant located in East Falmouth! It has been voted the best breakfast in Falmouth by readers of the Patch online newspaper and there are many reasons why!
Moonakis is like a diner, but it is not a diner. It is a bright and cheery Cape Cod house that serves breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere is wholesome and “homey.” There is a counter, about 10 tables , and lots of light. You may feel that you are visiting a friend the way the staff treats you . Breakfast dishes include several styles of eggs, pancakes, and waffles Pancakes include banana pecan and typical blueberry and chocolate chip. Other things to try on the menu include their homemade hash with the perfect amount of onions and potatoes! Specials are always offered and change frequentl y. Lunch is good is your typical American sandwiches, salads, burgers and fries.
Moonakis, a favorite among locals, is opened all year round (, but during the summer months it’s rather packed. Be sure to anticipate a longish wait, but, don’t worry, it’s well worth it. Remember to bring your wallet because it is cash only!
GREAT place for breakfast! This is the place you want to come for breakfast – wish we lived closer, we’d be here all of the time. We were here off season, and you could tell that the vast majority of the customers were locals and knew the waitress well. We eavesdropped on their small talk – you really couldn’t avoid it – and it was so charming, warm, small-townish! Really love the vibe here. And yes, the food! Perfectly cooked and innovative! Everything is homemade, lots of interesting dishes, so much more to choose from than the standard breakfast fare. Their hash is out of this world and the pancakes, wow, so many different flavors to choose from – I had the lemon poppy seed blueberry! SO GOOD!! Next time we are on The Cape, we will absolutely return.
Amazing food & great service. Top notch! I had an omelette with home fries & toast. Best home fries ever! Omelette was cooked perfectly.
Our ABSOLUTE favorite breakfast place Super friendly, fast service- and truly the most amazing breakfasts- our favorite is short rib eggs Benedict on killer cornbread, crab cakes eggs bene and pumpkin pecan pancakes but honestly everything is AMAZING!
Almost always packed but for good reason. Delicious waffles and pancakes, but I go for the eggs benedict options. Last time my wife and I split the cod cake benedict and pulled pork benedict (on toasted corn bread- the best!!!) Service is quick, I love their iced coffee always ready to go, the ladies running things are adorable! Cash only. Don’t miss it!
They have some unique Omelettes on the special board. You must be there before 9 during the summer months. Fall and winter are a little later to get in and have great service. Food comes out pretty quickly and again lunch specials are different all the time. They make regulars feel at home and they cleanup and you just go about your day.
