The 20th Annual Cape Cod Maritime Days, a celebration of the Cape’s rich maritime history will be held on May 19th thru June 21st 2013 with many special events
The month-long event will include a variety of Cape-wide maritime-themed activities, including guided kayak excursions, lighthouse & walking tours, nautical art exhibits, the 17th Annual Cape Cod Martime History Symposium at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on June 1st, the Wellfleet Harborfest and Nautical Flea Market on June 1st and more. Maritime Days will culminate with the 5th Annual Cape Cod Quahog Day at the oceanfront Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis on Friday,June 21st.

Exhibit: “Making Waves-Maritime Ventures on Cape Cod”
Cape Cod Maritime Museun, South Street, Hyannis, from 05/19/13 to 06/21/13
Encompassing five centuries, “Making Waves: Maritime Ventures on Cape Cod” narrates the Cape’s work on the water with iconic imagery, artifacts, and biographies. The exhibit is a story of Cape Cod’s ocean stewards—their risky business on the high seas and along the coast, and their livelihood from Nantucket Sound, Cape Cod Bay, and the waters of the Outer Cape. Ongoing exhibit at the museum.
