The Lobster Pot restaurant is a Provincetown tradition overlooking historic Provincetown harbor on Cape Cod.  You can enjoy a great  meal in either of the  two waterfront dining rooms or visit the Top of the Pot for cocktails, appetizers and a fantastic view of the harbor while on your summer vacation.   The tanks in the front of the restaurant are filled with  natural sea water pumped from the bay. Our proximity to the bay enables us to keep the lobsters in a   natural environment, allowing us to serve you the  freshest lobsters.

Here are the reviews

One of the best meals ever! Lobster Avocado Cocktail for a starter and the Pan Roasted Lobster for dinner was to die for! The Key Lime Pie was “the real deal”! Shawn was a great host, even helping us to memorialize our family dinner, by taking the group picture and surprising us with a wonderful selfie of himself! Kathy, our waitress, was wonderful! And her suggestion of the pie, for dessert, was spot on!

We are just finishing our amazing lunch, the food and Jim our waiter were excellent. Thank you for a great experience.

My wife and I go every time we’re in PTown. Two nights in a row this weekend! Their little neck appetizer baked with linguica, Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs is a must try!! Cassie and Winston in the upstairs bar are efficient and characters to say the least. A laugh a minute and Cassie runs a well oiled ship up there. Best pomegranate margaritas! We’ll be back for sure!

So if you walk by and think to yourself this looks like a tourist trap, don’t let that deter you from the experience of your lifetime in Ptown! Not only a phenomenal lunch but the best bloody marys on the Cape  hands down! I mean second to none in Ptown! Cassie and Winston at the upstairs bar are amazing! Like a well oiled machine, you wonder how they make such marvelous drinks, are right on top of service, and still find time to treat you with love! And don’t even skip the seafood people! It’s amazing! The Lobster Pot gets a surprise 5 stars from me…a very picky food and bloody critic!

My husband and I are enjoying the long weekend in Provincetown and decided on an early dinner at The Lobster Pot, our favorite Ptown restaurant. We came down on Friday afternoon, unpacked, and relaxed a bit before grabbing a bite to eat. We missed the lunch crowd and arrived before the dinner rush so were seated right away. Our server introduced herself, took our drink order and brought over a basket of assorted fresh rolls and crackers. My husband doesn’t even have to look at the menu other than to decide on his appetizer lol. We shared apps of Blackened Shrimp and Soft-shelled crab. Shrimp consisted of 4 jumbos, Cajun seasoned and blackened, cooked perfectly and a lightly breaded and fried soft-shell crab with garlic butter and Parmesan toast. Sorry, no photo but we left nothing behind. We shared a house salad of fresh, cold and crisp greens, red onion, tomatoes, watermelon radish and cukes. The salads are accompanied by a “caddy” containing 4 different house-made dressings: garlic (my favorite), blue cheese, sesame-ginger, and honey balsamic. Our entrees (photos included) were a Pan-roasted lobster for my husband–a 1 1/4 pound split lobster flamed with brandy before roasting in the oven and served with an herbed butter sauce. My husband requested the orzo as his side rather than potato. The lobster can be ordered in larger sizes if desired and are priced accordingly. I’ve had a “hankering” for fish tacos lately so I went with the dinner portion; two large soft tacos with lightly breaded and fried tilapia, napa slaw, salsa cream and avocado mousse. The tacos were served with hot, crisp French fries. We ate every bit but passed on desert. Dining room was starting to fill up when we left and in the summer there is usually a wait–your name is put into the system and you’re handed a “lobster” buzzer to notify you when your table is available. There is a large dining room downstairs as well as upstairs which also has the popular “Top of the Pot” bar.

My husband and I arrived in Provincetown yesterday for the holiday weekend and hit up our favorite place, The Lobster Pot, for lunch before stopping to unpack! Labor Day weekend is always a busy time but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Ordered our beverages and our server Matthew returned promptly with them and a basket of their complimentary rolls and herb seasoned flatbread crackers with butter. Our appetizers were Shrimp Scampi for me and Blackened Shrimp for my husband. Both orders contained four Jumbo shrimp–mine were sauteed with butter, oil, wine and herbs and his were seasoned with Cajun seasoning and blackened with herbs. We shared and ate every bite. We also split a wonderful fresh, crisp, house salad which comes with a small caddy containing 4 house made dressings: garlic, blue cheese, sesame ginger and honey vinaigrette. We each opted for the Pan-roasted lobster as an entrée. We had the regular 1 1/4 pounders–they’re split and sautéed quickly with brandy and finished in the oven with a wonderful blend of herbs and topped with diced tomatoes and leeks; so delicious. I had mine with hot, crisp French fries and hubby had a nicely flavored orzo which he likes to mix in with the lobster juices after he’s finished off his lobster. . We ate every bit and Matt, our server, was attentive even though he was covering several tables. Needless to say, we skipped an evening meal! Never disappointed there; the team at the Lobster Pot is A+
