Brewster Inn & Chowder House Restaurant

Sharing is caring!

Brewster Inn & Chowder House is located in a former retirement home that was built around 1870. The kitchen makes homestyle seafood and other delicious dishes for lunch and dinner — including fish sandwiches and platters. The dining room is casual and ideal for couples or families. The fried scallop and oyster rolls are unique items on the menu that you won’t find at any other restaurant in town.

Warm greetings by hosts. Great food and comfortable setting. We will be back.

Family friendly, good food, very thoughtful and accommodating for our small child. Our server, Janet, was phenomenal. The food was ready quickly and tasted great. We ordered the fried oyster platter, clam chowder, Shepard’s pie, and baked scrod. 10/10 would order again. The house dressing on the salad did not disappoint. Music was lively but didn’t get in the way of quiet conversation. Candles and atmospheric lighting was a nice touch. Reasonably priced for the portions (you WILL need a to-go box). Wish we had stayed for dessert but we had to get the kiddo to bed. Definitely returning next time we visit.

The food and service was excellent. The crab cakes were thick, crisp and delicious. The sweet potato fries were also crisp and the French onion soup was delicious as well. I had the turkey burger which was the best I’ve ever had

We skipped lunch and needed an afternoon nosh and some cocktails. Took at table on the screened in porch. To sit and watch the world go by on Rt6A in Brewster is simply charming! Our server, Holly, was excellent! Friendly and professional. But, the food! We have been customers for years…this is the BEST Clam Chowder on the Cape, and some of the best Clams Casino, but they stepped up their game! We shared an appetizer of a Portobello Cap Napoleon that was wonderful! An amazing Red Pepper Coulis was a perfect compliment. We had never tried the Stuffed Quahogs, and we get them everywhere. Well, these are the BEST on the Cape! Crunchy, buttery crust, soft and clam filled interior…OMG! And the prices give you an amazing value! Run to this place!

We dined at the Brewster Inn with another couple. My husband had cod francaise, as did our friend. I had the broiled seafood dinner and our friend had the bolognese. Everyone cleaned their plate – the food was fresh, delicious and very reasonable. The French fries are homemade and the Cole slaw is delicious. We’ve dined there 3 times in recent weeks and have never been disappointed. It is also family friendly.

Cozy atmosphere, delicious food (I especially loved the lobster roll, and my husband liked the clam chowder). Will definitely return!

Like how the have different specials every day along with the traditional Cape Cod fair. Enjoyed the fish and chips then came back the next day for the short rips over mashed red potatoes. Wait staff very knowledgeable of the area.

Our family had lunch twice during our stay on Cape Cod; despite the fact that they are always very busy, and sometimes there is a wait for tables, we were seated fairly quickly. Our meals were also brought in good time. The food preps are excellent and service is great! No wonder the parking lot is usually full.
