Spanky’s the best fried whole belly clams on Cape Cod and don’t forget Captain Merle’s Seafood Stew.. Actually their food is the best lobster rolls are amazing, mussels totally delicious, and you can’t beat the view the atmosphere the smiling staff.. absolutely love this place
We are fortunate to spend time on Cape Cod & the Vineyard all year. We have favorite restaurants from Provincetown to Woods Hole. Spanky’s is our favorite in Hyannis and we visit a few times every year. The scallops are to die for. The service is wonderful. Thank you Judy! The views of the harbor from the outdoor dining area are beautiful. We will return!
Spanky’s wide variety of clams can satisfy anyone whose in pursuit for eating some clams. Every time I go to Spanky’s, I leave feeling fully satisfied and always find myself coming back for more. Go for the friendly atmosphere, go for the fun, but more importantly, go for the clams.
Spanky’s is far from a shack! Very clean and large restaurant that also has a great patio area, BIG plus is the friendly, pleasant, staff and Linda was helpful with recommendations for the islands! If you want great seafood go here! For an app we got scallops wrapped in bacon, which was delicious. I am extremely picky with seafood, yes a New Englander that won’t eat seafood especially at chain restaurants, and I must say I cleared my haddock plate! A waitress that wasn’t even ours asked if we wanted rolls and brought them over. Everything came quick from alcoholic beverages, to app’s and we didn’t have room for dessert since the plates come in a hefty portion size. The price was great for 2 people and the view of the harbor was great.
I absolutely love Spankys! We get to the Cape 3 or 4 times a year and always make sure it’s one of our food stops. The menu is big enough for all our tastes and the price (for the Cape) is very reasonable. Can’t wait to get back there this year

Our crew wanted to check out the Artist Shanties along Hyannis Harbor Friday so we ventured into the nearby Spanky’s Clam Shack for lunch. It had rained earlier so the outside seating was closed down and the inside was full but we were able to score a table for six overlooking the harbor. Service was good and our drinks came pretty quickly especially given the crowd size. We had some Bloody Mary’s and a Moscow Mule. These were okay but nothing special. For entrees we had their lobster roll, shrimp scampi over linguini, and I had their lobster salad (the half size portion). Even though it was half the normal size, I still ended up taking some home. The folks who had the lobster rolls were mightily impressed. We try and visit Spanky’s 2-3 time each summer and the food did not disappoint. They are incredibly generous with their lobster portions. Our stroll along Hyannis harbor after the meal was delightful as well along with visiting the Artist Shanties. They have numerous artistic options and worth a trip if interested. Another wonderful dining experience.
Awesome seafood platter at Spanky’s, I already ate a scallop, a clam, & started to eat a shrimp when I remembered I should snap a photo. I couldn’t finish it!! Bianca waited on us. She was pleasant, friendly, & assertive. I also had a cup of their seafood stew, which I love. This is totally the best place to get a seafood platter AND it’s on the water. Great view as well.
Had a great seafood dinner at Spankys in Hyannis Harbor Thursday. Great food, excellent service plus a fun place to People watch! It’s right on the water so the outdoor atmosphere is wonderful!
Hyannis Harbor-Spanky’s-lobster roll is a killer also-Ohhhhhhh and don’t forget the seafood stew – not bisque-stew! I could eat something every day and enjoy it Sweetest and most flavorful fried belly clams on the Cape Sitting on the “dock of the bay”!
Went to Spanky’s clam shack tonight for date night with my hubby and friends and had a great dinner and drinks! I had the baked scallops and hubby had the baked seafood trio and chowder. They were phenomenal! The rum punch was great as well!
Did early dinner at Spanky’s in Hyannis. Split the small lobster caesar and each had their great seafood chowder. Beatrice was our waitress 🇺🇸and did a great job. Thank you
