Highlands Fest 2017 at Payomet Arts Center in Truro MA
Payomet Performing Arts Center will be hosting their annual Highlands Fest in North Truro. on Saturday June 24th 10am-1pm. They will presenting music, circus performers and magic.. This is a great free event for the family.
Highlands Fest is an annual celebration of the Highlands Center at Cape Cod National Seashore by its partner organizations: Barnstable County AmeriCorps Cape Cod, Cape Cod National Seashore, Payomet Performing Arts Center, Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, Sustainable CAPE, and Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill. The Truro Public Library joins us this year to help with pollinator education.”
Our theme, “Bee Dynamic” is inspired by our need to learn about and be proactive towards pollinators. All pollinators are important and essential to Cape Cod, and we will jointly take action to active to help ensure their survival. Be involved in planting butterfly-friendly seeds to take home, be engaged in viewing “Bee Diversity” outdoor exhibits and pollinator garden plots, and be creative by helping paint a pollinator mural.
This Highlands Fest will also feature imaginative entertainment at Payomet, an educational nature walk with Center for Coastal Studies, and refreshments donated by our supporters. All ages and abilities are invited to be active, learn, and support your hardworking pollinators!
