The annual Brewster in Bloom is Friday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 5th which is the town’s Brewster’s spring daffodil celebration.
Thousands of people will flock to Brewster to participate in this first-of-the-season Cape Cod festival. It’s “one great festival for three great days” when the business community and the Town of Brewster host a variety of main event.
2024 Main Events
Brewster Band Spring Concert! with John E. New conducting, are celebrating their 30th annual Brewster in Bloom Concert on Friday May 3rd at the Brewster Baptist Church, beginning at 7PM. This performance is in conjunction with the Brewster in Bloom weekend celebration. Admission is free and free will donations are accepted to support the Bands’ future programs. The concert will feature: Broadway Journey – 25 Years of Golden Classics, the music of Hoagy Carmichael, a Victor Herbert medley, Richard Wagner’s Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral and Broadway’s Man of La Mancha, among others.
Brewster in Bloom Fine Arts & Crafts Show, May 4 & 5 at the Bay Property (former Cape Cod Sea Camps). Sponsored by Leighton Team Keller Williams and Renewal by Andersen. And we’re so happy to welcome everyone to this “first-of-season” open-air arts and crafts show on Cape Cod! Saturday’s show is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday’s is 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Parking this year is $5 per vehicle to benefit the Elder Brewster Scholarship Fund. Admission to the show is FREE!! .
Cape Cod 5 Bloom Run, Saturday, May 4 steps off at 10 a.m. (rain or shine!) from the Brewster Inn & Woodshed, Route 6A in Brewster! Registration opens in the Inn’s parking lot at 8:30 a.m. for this 5K, 3.1 mile-run/walk. For this event the MYLAPS B-Tag Timing System is used. Entry Fee is $40 per person or $25 for participants aged 12 and under. Fee includes event t-shirt if paid by April 14. Register and pay online with V/MC/D; cash or check payable to “Town of Brewster”. Brewster in Bloom Town Parade, Sunday, May 5th: “Enchantment Under the Sea” Sponsored by Brewster Inn/Woodshed and CC Construction. The parade steps off from Eddy Elementary School parking lot at 1 p.m. and goes west on Route 6a to Swamp Road. Click here to download the application form!
CAPE COD MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, 896 Main Street (Route 6 A): Garden Design 101 with Landscape Design Consultant Mary Jo Maffei. Sunday, May 5 at 11 a.m. By simplifying the elements of garden design, Mary Jo helps gardeners understand how to view and adapt their greenspace to their needs! $18 for Members | $20 Non-Members PLUS Museum Admission (includes at the door day of).
ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE OF BOSTON – Brewster Branch, 3981 Main Street: Rabies Vaccine Clinic. Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. $10 per vaccine Walkins Welcome, no appointment needed. All dogs must be leashed and under owner/keeper control. Aggressive dogs must be muzzled. Cats must be inside pet carriers.

BREWSTER BOOK STORE –2648 Main Street: Book Signing! May 4th, at 11:00 a.m., journalist and award-winning author Casey Sherman will sign his newest release, A Murder in Hollywood: The Untold Story of Tinseltown’s Most Shocking Crime. Then join us that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with writer Adrienne Brodeur as we celebrate the paperback release of her novel Little Monsters.
BREWSTER HISTORICAL SOCIETY – Cobb House Museum Open House Saturday, May 4th, 1 – 4 p.m. Museum exhibits for the new season include Letters from the Front, Brewster in the Military. All guests are also welcome to visit the vintage Woodworking Shop in the Cobb House Annex. Refreshments served. No admission charged for this event.
Historic Windmill Village Open House: Saturday, May 4th, 12 noon – 3 p.m. The 1795 Higgins Farm Windmill will be open for guided tours. FIRST PARISH BREWSTER -Meeting House Speaker Series: Sunday, May 5th at 3 p.m. Erica Tso Haidas presents “Americans and the Fight for Racial Justice”. In this presentation, Erica Tso Haidas will explore what it means for her to be Asian in the fight for racial justice. Examining history, current events, personal and community anecdotes, she will explore an often complicated experience of being Asian in a black and white America.
