Cape Cod Pirate’s Festival 2024 West Yarmouth MA
The 2024 Cape Cod Pirate Festival will be held over 2 weekends in June 1st & 2nd and June 8th & 9th at the Yarmouth fairgrounds.
The event will offer two swashbuckling weekends, win an additional pub stage, more entertainment, and more all-around practical fun! Under the guidance of veteran events producer Chris Schultz and New Latitude Event Solutions, this year’s Pirate Fest will offer an immersive event for families and adventure seekers across the Cape. The event will feature multiple stages of pirate themed entertainment, music, shanties, interactive pirate actors, games, rides, black powder demonstrations, and pirate themed vendors.
Participants will be invited to test their hand at knife and axe throwing, get a fantasy face painting, or just enjoy a pint and watch the music and performers who will be on the stages and streets.
This year, our expanded pub will feature interactive bar entertainment including the “Stationary Pub Crawl”, a pirate-led experience in Old Tom’s Tavern full of toasts, a few songs, some tales and some pirate drinking games. The pub will also feature the ever-so-slightly-bawdy (PG-13) revelry of our Purveyors of the Pour, the Harlot Queens! Easy on the ears and easy on the eyes, these ladies will regale you with song as they fill your glass.
New World Games will bring with them their incredible rides and games which include a human powered carousel and the infamous “Hurlinator”. Enjoy these games of skill and chance as they make their return, and explore the new games and new challenges that await!
The festival is excited to welcome back favorite performances such as the festival’s rollicking
pirate house-band, The Plankwalkers, the ever-boisterous (and sorta-local) Crimson Pirates, as well as new entertainers such as the Foxy Bard.
The Yarmouth Minutemen Militia will return as their piratical alter-egos “Jeramiah’s Gunners” as they provide explosive live-fire demonstrations from flintlocks and even a canon! The “Rogue’s Armada”, a pirate reenactment troupe raising money for Feeding America, returns as well and will provide a host of interactive family entertainment and performances throughout the day.
The event will be held on June 1st, 2nd , 8th and 9th at the Yarmouth Fairgrounds (the old Yarmouth Drive-In) on Rte. 28.
Gates open at 10:30am and the event ends at 5:30 pm each day.
