Wellfleet Holiday Stroll will be held on Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th Come experience the warmth of Wellfleet’s Christmas holiday cheer during winter time. Explore our unique stores and businesses, hand crafted wares at Wellfleet Preservation Hall’s Holiday Bazaar and Craft Fair, amazing Art Galleries, nautical treasures and more. Step into the past and relish the splendor of Wellfleet’s decorated historic homes on a historic holiday house tour sponsored by Wellfleet’s Historical Museum Society. Listen to the sounds of merriment and sing along with Denya Levine and Julie Charland at the Wellfleet tree lighting on the Town Hall lawn. To cap off the event on Sunday, stop by Wellfleet’s Public Library to relax for an hour and listen to the soothing sounds of the harp. Season’s greetings from the Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce!

HOLIDAY BAZAAR AND CRAFT FAIR! Wellfleet Preservation Hall is hosting a Holiday Bazaar and Craft Fair on Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th from 11am – 4pm each day. There will be approximately 30 vendors offering locally made items from leather works, pottery, jewelry, knit ware, baby gear, artwork and prepared foods. The Prez Hall Cafe will be open all weekend with treats from the kitchen and bar.

 

Historical Museum Holiday House Tour Celebrate Wellfleet’s history of community spirit, neighborhood charm and historic houses. See how homeowners uniquely decorate their houses as a welcoming celebration of the holiday season.

 

Begin your stroll at the Museum’s East Wing and continue down Main Street to Briar Lane where stunning historic homes will open their doors. Docents will be stationed at each house to point out historic or architectural features, unique furnishings and special decorations. Tickets are $20 and available on-line at www.wellfleethistoricalsociety.com, or at the Newcomb Hollow Shop and Jules Besch Stationers.

 

Town Hall Tree Lighting On Saturday, December 14 from 4:00pm – 5:00pm, on the Wellfleet Town Hall lawn, there will be a tree-lighting ceremony and carol singing by local musicians Denya Levine & Julie Charland. They will play holiday music from various traditions, leading the revelers in Christmas and Chanukah songs and sea chanteys. They play guitar, fiddle, and ukuleles, and their vocal harmonies sparkle with joyous energy.

 

Ark Angel Animal Hospital Start your exploration of Wellfleet by dropping in to check out Ark Angel Animal Hospital on Route 6 (just past the intersection of LeCount Hollow Rd) Warm up with Hot Cider and snacks while you take a tour of this 240+ year old historic building – converted into a State of the Art full-service Animal Hospital and Mobile Clinic. Open House 9:30am – 12:00pm on Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th. Pets welcome and hospital is open for appointments.

United Methodist Church Open House: The “246 Community Kitchen”, an outreach of the Wellfleet United Methodist Church, will host an open house on Saturday, December 14 to celebrate the holiday season. From noon – 2:00pm enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch. At 1:00pm Noel Tipton, the church’s music minister, will play traditional Christmas carols on the pipe organ in the sanctuary. From 2:00 – 3:00 before we all gather at town hall for the tree lighting ceremony “The 246 Kitchen” will serve hot cider, coffee, tea, cocoa, and cookies. All events are free.

Wellfleet Public Library ‘Christmas International’ Concert will be presented on Sunday, December 15, at 3:00pm at the Wellfleet Public Library. The concert will feature Thom Dutton, the Troubadour Harper on Celtic harp. Come relax for an hour away from the hectic pace of the holiday season, listening to the soothing sounds of the harp. Donations will be accepted at the door (suggested donation is $7).
