Day 292 Into the Woods Broadway Musical at Harwich Junior Theater
Into the Woods will be performed by the Harwich Junior Theater from February 13th to March 16th. This is a Broadway musical that was first performed on Broadway in the 1980s. Bernadette Peters was nominated for a Tony Award in 1988.
The Brothers Grimm hit Broadway with an epic fairytale where worlds collide. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim bring everyone’s favorite storybook characters together for a timeless, relevant, and rare modern musical. A childless baker and his wife endeavor to lift their family curse by journeying into the woods, where they encounter Rapunzel (and her witchly “mother”), Cinderella, Jack (of Beanstalk fame), Little Red Riding Hood and other classic fairy tale characters, and they all must learn the responsibility that comes with getting what you want.
Disney will be coming out with a movie version of Into the Woods next year
Evening performances are at 7:30 and Sunday maintees at 2pm February 13th thru March 16th
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for youth
