Christmas Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument 2014 in Provincetown MA
The Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument for the Christmas holidays will be held on Wednesday evening November 26th from 5-7pm at High Pole Hill in Provincetown MA on Cape Cod. The Annual Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument, which celebrates the Pilgrims’ First Landing in the New World in Provincetown on November 11, 1620, is one of Cape Cod’s most beautiful traditions and one that is supported by PMPM’s members and friends.
This year’s honorees will be King Hiram’s Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Provincetown who will be recognized as we “throw the switch.”
Hundreds of people come to this iconic event each year to witness the Monument festooned with more than 3,100 “landing lights” which shine nightly through January 5, 2015. Admission is free, and refreshments will be provided by the Provincetown Business Guild and entertainment by John Thomas will be offered.
