Cleat & Anchor Restaurant Tavern in Dennisport MA
The Cleat & Anchor is American style restaurant and tavern that fuses casual Cape Cod charm with a little contemporary flair located in Dennis Port. It opened in 2017 but is becoming a favorite for both local and tourists. It is open 7 days a week year round!
Meals are served at a combination of tables, high-top tables and at the cozy bar – a far cry from the former Rum Runners restaurant at this location.
This American style restaurant and tavern features modern twists on classic Cape Cod and New England fare.
The cocktail menu serves unique drinks with creative names like Hook Lime & Sinker ($12) served in a martini glass made with Citadelle Gin, tarragon, cucumber, ginger and lime. A not too sweet but refreshing and herbaceous cooler topped with a slice of cucumber. For the beer drinkers there is a wide variety of eclectic craft beer featuring over 20 draft lines.
Many diners were having cocktails and dinner at the upscale bar where you can watch sports events with twelve big screen T.V.’s throughout the restaurant.
The menu offers everything from appetizers, salads, pizza’s, sandwiches to over 10 entrees. All very affordable for families or date night.

Super fun and casual, great service, a must go to place on the Cape whether you’re year round or vacationing!
Our bartender Was great, knowledgeable about the description of the Different Chardonnay choices. We tried some craft beers. Great appetizers! Can’t wait to play corn hole on the outside patio! We will be back with all our peeps this summer
The food is tasty, rich and comforting just like homemade making you feel like they were in the kitchen individually making this food with you in mind. I’d rather have my food take a little bit longer so I can sit and relax before dinner than have it rushed out thrown on a plate like a lot of other places do. The drink specials are unique and there are many craft beers to choose from. I’m really impressed by the welcomeness and service of the staff. Also equally as impressive if not more is a fact that the owner and manager are on site and very involved. Tony and his wife are very passionate about this restaurant and bar and are doing a great job. The place looks nice, it’s so cozy in the dining area and bar yet roomy to move about. As much “fun” as all of us has had at the old place this is really a good change and still fun on weekends with live music! Finally its tidy, has some quality food, staff and atmosphere.
What a great place ! Stopped in for lunch and got the Crab Bruchetta , The food far exceeded what i expected from a new restaurant, simply awesome . Very complex falvors but simple and elegant, and All locally sourced ingredients. killer local beer menu and all the staff were super cool and knew everything about what they were serving and even where it came from. This is not you typical dining experience. … i will definately be coming back and bringing friends and family!! Quick food, fair prices and nice staff . How could you not like the Cleat & Anchor !!
