I’d have to say this is the best restaurant on the Cape. They have the biggest, most delicious lobster roll I’ve had. Our entire meal was outstanding. I wish we have found it sooner. Sitting on the deck with the water view was amazing. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back

We come up to the cape many times a year. Last night was the last night they were open for the season and our first time there. It did not disappoint! The fried clam chowdah and wicked awesome lobstah roll was amazing! Can’t wait to come back when they open!

We randomly picked this place for dinner on our way back from sightseeing the Cape. It was a wonderful pick! Some of the best clam chowder we’ve ever had and our dinners were delicious!! Yummy ice cream as well!! Service was outstanding too!! We will definitely be back when we visit the Cape again!

The atmosphere is great with the white lights and outdoor deck. The food was amazing!!! We loved combining the scrumptious clam chowder with the chowdah balls! The lobster roll was great and the boneless buffalo wings were about the best we’ve ever had! Loved it!

We have ate here several times and it is always great! The best fish and chips, very tasty lobster roll, and the nachos were great!! The kids food kept them happy too!

My family and I had an amazing dinner here tonight and the staff is amazing! I have two toddlers and we had a spill on the table which left one in tears and Niko(sorry if misspelled) the waitress came right over and calmed my very upset daughter down. She took extra care to make my family comfortable!! 5 stars for the food and service!! Can’t wait to go back

The best restaurant on the Cape by far! Excellent food and a courteous, friendly and efficient staff. Their lobster rolls can’t be beat! A must “go to” if you’re on Cape Cod!

This is is the SKIPPER’S LOBSTER ROLL SUPREME, “Half pound of fresh made lobster salad with green leaf lettuce. Served the Skipper’s way on a toasted brioche roll”
Our server told us they were voted best lobster roll in MA last year and I believe it ! It’s a splurge but absolutely worth it. The place was extremely busy but everyone there was hustling, food came out fast and was a real treat. Highly recommend !

Tonight we ate at Skipper’s Chowder House in South Yarmouth. We go there a lot since it’s just up the road from our  cottage . My sister, husband and I sat at the smaller “raw bar” bar. Alex was our server and she was very attentive and pleasant. I got a lemon drop to start , Sister got a Cape Cod Blond and husband got a hog Island. Lemon drop was refreshing and beers were cold and very good. Thanks Steve the bartender for getting us the nice drinks. For entrees both my husband and sister got the fish tacos. I’ve had them before and just like before they were thoroughly enjoyed. Their tacos come out as one giant taco in a fried crispy taco shell. They were delicious. I opted for a bowl of clam chowder and the stuffed Quahog. The chowder was creamy with a lot of clams, not too many potatoes like in some chowder. I’ve never had stuffed quahog but I really enjoyed it. While the restaurant can have a longish wait, it’s worth it. Plus, you can go over to the beach across the street while you wait. They will text you when your table is ready. Bonus is the playground at the beach if you are waiting with children.

Skipper’s doesn’t accept reservations. We arrived at 5 and were told there would be a 40-45 minute wait. We gave them our name and phone # to text us when a table for four became available. We waited outside because the foyer was packed with people leaving their names and numbers.
we started with    bowl of their award-winning Cape Cod Clam Chowdah   It was thicker than I remember, but the taste I had was absolutely delicious. My husband  entrée was fish and chips was small but tasty.
I ordered the pan-seared Chatham day boat scallops with lemon beurre blanc sauce  . They were very good, but expected more of a sear.  My friend  ordered lobster ravioli  was substantial, and she said it was fabulous! Her date  ordered the crispy haddock fish taco  The shell was puffy and beautifully toasted. He said the fish was just great. Both took half of their dinners home.
