Last evening’s takeout dinner was from the Villa Roma on route 28 in West Harwich, close to the Dennis Town Line. The Villa Roma is on our favorite restaurant rotation list and we dine there often. Last evening was the first time we ever ordered takeout from the VR. I must note that I was just sizing the photos for this review and it made hungry all over again. It was that good.

The lady  and I both ordered the same dinner, Veal Marsala (Veal cutlets sautéed with mushrooms and garlic, flamed with Marsala Wine, finished with Demi-glace and butter, served with Capellini, $28). We also love their Italian Wedding soup so rather than get two cups we ordered a quart ($12) so we would have extra for tomorrow’s lunch. We also ordered a Tiramisu (This classic Italian treat is made in house daily, $9.50). We also requested a loaf of their fresh baked bread (No charge, comes with the dinners)

We had dinner at Villa Roma. It was excellent. The veal Marsala and linguini vongole, white clam sauce with cherry stones were both awesome. The service was also excellent. A great place for Italian food in Harwich.

We had guests for the weekend and they like Italian. Great choice .  No reservations here but call ahead service worked like a charm. Nice wine list. Good prompt service. Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Picata, Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Parmesan all very good. Hope to get back soon.

The veal parmesan was the best I have ever eaten. The veal was so tender I could almost cut it with my fork. Get there early. It is a very small restaurant and is very busy. Worth going to!

This is a quirky, intimate, friendly dining experience. The whole family loved it – the food and service was excellent and given the bonkers pricing on the Cod, this was actually well worth the money – and it wasn’t crazy, maybe $30 per head. The steak was perfect: the bread entree delicious, and deserts as you’d expect ina classy Italian. Highly popular with locals, so make sure you book – but do go and enjoy a great meal!

Quite frankly one of the best consistent restaurants on Cape Cod. The wait staff were excellent, the food was excellent. From the moment you venture near the door the alluring smell in the air alerts your senses to the wonderful treats ahead!

Stopped in for dinner on a whim because it looked cute. Got much more than we bargained for. Every thing we had was delicious. The bread, wedding soup to die for, great salad and our meals were phenomenal. I had chicken parm and it outstanding. I would get it again in a heart beat. Not to mention the service was incredible.

bride and I have favorite dinners at the Villa Roma and they number more than one. When we read the special’s menu we both agreed on the same dinner, the Veal Chop (14 oz, Catelli Frenched bone-in rib chop char-grilled to your preference, Porcini mushroom Madeira Demi-glace, mashed potatoes, broccoli, ). The bride doesn’t often order a Veal Chop but remembering how good this special is from sampling mine in the past, this is what she chose, and so did I. It was delicious! When Molly asked us how we would like it done we advised her to ask the Chef to prepare it as he thinks it is best. It came out perfect. It was so flavorful and extremely tender. It was probably the tenderest veal chop I ever tasted. The mushroom demi-glace was the perfect flavor accent for the veal chop. The mashed potatoes were very tasty and the broccoli was also good. We both loved our dinners.

You will find delicious Italian food and drink at this unassuming West Harwich spot. We stumbled upon Villa Roma a few years ago and dining there has become the centerpiece of our trips ever since. My son dreams of their bolognese ragu, but all their sauces are excellent and the meat and fish cooked to perfection. The service is impeccable and they make a fantastic cocktail, too!

We have had a house on the Cape for 16 years and never been to the Villa Roma. Friends of ours asked if we wanted to go to the Villa Roma for Saturday night dinner. We accepted and are glad we did. Had early reservations and were seated immediately upon arriving. No shortage of staff who were very attentive. Drink orders were taken and as soon as drinks arrived were were asked if we wanted to order appetizers. We asked for 5 minutes and that was no problem . throughout the night we were not rushed and allowed to relax. The wait staff allowed us to pace ourselves to order. The appetizer, Clams Casino was delicious as were the salads. The main dinner included a lasagna, Chicken piccata and two veal parmesans. All were good sized portions, well prepared and delicious.

There is no kids menu or pizza
