Fishermen’s View Waterfront Seafood Restaurant Sandwich Marina

Sharing is caring!

Fisherman’s View is local seafood restaurant overlooking the Sandwich Marina on Cape Cod!

Local fishermen Bob and Denny Colbert have fished out of the Sandwich Marina for over thirty years. After completing marine engineering degrees at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the brothers fell in love with fishing, and while they began with just a small boat, they now have three large commercial fishing vessels. In August 2015, the two brothers obtained an adjacent piece of land on the Cape Cod Canal constructed the boat-to-table seafood market, restaurant, bar, and wholesale complex. With a focus on fresh, locally sourced seafood coupled with stunning views of the canal and marina, the brothers hope to give guests a truly unique dining experience and glimpse of modern fishing – Fishermen’s View! Restaurant & Bar: open daily year round for full-service lunch and dinner, serving the Cape Cod Classics as well as globally-inspired dishes with our local seafood. Fish Market (on the northwest side of the building) open daily year round 8am-7PM for retail seafood, our full restaurant take out menu, made-to-order sushi, local groceries, wholesale, and more! Sandie’s Outdoor Bar: a fast-casual ocean-front bar on the East corner of the property, open during the summer months, weather permitting

THE PATIO: open-air seating outside right by the water; each table is under its own umbrella. Views of the Sandwich Marina. Please note: “PATIO”-labeled reservations are reservations for “open air” outdoor seating, and thus subject to changes or cancellation based on weather. If you select a “PATIO” reservation, please look out for messages from out team in case of inclement weather and thank you for understanding!

THE DECK: an elevated porch area just off the side of our dining room with large, open sliding doors for maximum outdoor vibes while still under a roof. Views of the opening of the Cape Cod Canal and commercial fishing slips in the Sandwich Marina. If you are looking for more of an outdoor dining experience, but one that is still dry in case of bad weather, this is your spot!

HIGH TOP LOUNGE: a socially-distanced indoor dining in our bar & lounge area; please note all seats in this area are bar-height and counter-height chairs and tables. Views of the Sandwich Marina.

I have been on a lobster roll kick recently so wherever I go to eat I order one. This is hand’s down the BEST hot buttered lobster roll around. I went to another local place this past week (known for their lobster) and was very disappointed!! I highly suggest you try this one, my only hesitation in recommending this is that I will not get a reservation next time I want one 🙂  You will not be disappointed and the view is not so shabby either

Very good, we really enjoyed our food, drinks and views. I thought they were a little pricey, but it wouldn’t stop me from recommending it or going back! We started with the buffalo cauliflower, my daughter loved it, and took home what was left. I am from NY and full belly clams are no where to be found, so I usually order them more then once while on the Cape, I also ordered a side of scallops…. they were soo sweet, and cooked perfectly. My daughter had the Salmon wrapped, she is very picky with Salmon and was nervous about ordering it… turned out it was delicious and cooked to her request. My cousin ordered the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, too her delight the potatoes were real and very yummy, as was the fried chicken. We left too stuffed for desert.

We topped by here twice last week for lunch. Both times, I called in the order for take out. Food was ready at the estimated time and was delicious. We had the lobster knuckle sandwich ( highly recommended ) and a wrap. Both were abundant and the fries and cole slaw were fresh and plentiful. We ate at an outside table beside the canal. Beautiful atmosphere. Music could be heard from the outside patio.

We have been waiting to get safely together with friends who we have not seen since last fall as we are snowbirds. Finally the governor has allowed outdoor dining. Selecting Fishermen’s View was absolutely the very best choice we could have made to get together with our friends. Reservations were made easily online. Yes, we all wore masks to the tables which were appropriately distanced. The flower planters between the tables gave a wonderful atmosphere so we really were not aware of the spaces between tables View.were due to the regulations. It was a perfect summer day. The pace was leisurely, the server was relaxed and wonderful, the food delicious. When you are ready to venture out to enjoy yourself with friends, we highly recommend The Fishermen’s

We were heading home after being on the Cape for the day and tried Fisherman’s View. We were delighted with every aspect of the restaurant, the service, but especially the food.
The fried scallops were not served on the usual dinky hot dog bun, but a perfect grilled brioche bun! The tartar sauce was not the usual thick, chunky, glop. It was a thinner sauce that made the best scallops that I have ever tasted- shine. I put a few of the homemade bread and butter pickles on my roll. They tasted just like my mother’s.
The French fries and coleslaw were excellent and both were also upgraded from the norm.
My husband had the fish sandwich on a brioche bun and he also enjoyed his meal as much as I did.
Looking forward to our next visit. We hope it will be this exceptional during the busy summer season.

We had a late dinner and everything was perfect. Sat outside with a gorgeous view of the water. The food was really good. We tried the Jonah crab claw which we were told was similar to the Florida stone crab claw and we were not disappointed. The truffle tater tots were awesome! Service was good.

Dinner at Fishermen’s View in Sandwich add the mouth of the canal.
We had been there before, but never eaten out on their patios. We were able to eat on the upper patio looking down on the lower patios and got a good view of the opening to the Cape Cod Canal! The sun was setting, and there were many avid fishermen along the shore, hoping to get one of those big blue stripers! As we ate, there was a video going on we could see a fisherman who had caught many large fish in the canal. One fisherman was even in a pedal kayak so his hands were free to fish! There was a wedding party going on the deck below us it was a very warm night, but there was a lovely breeze coming off of the canal. Such a romantic spot to eat dinner overlooking the water.

 – Went to dinner there Sat night with friends. Luckily scored reservations for 7:45pm as the place was very busy with over an hour long  wait when we arrived. We were sat almost immediately and were given a beautiful seat with an amazing view of the water. Started with their cilantro cornbread with maple butter which was delicious. 3 of us got the chowder which we all really enjoyed and 1 got the cesear salad which she said was very good as well. For entrees we ordered the Knuckle sandwich, Fish Sandwich, Haddock stuffed with Crab and fried scallop roll.
