Surprise Mirror Printing Workshop for Kids (Ages 5 & Up) at Highlands Hall Falmouth 9am come use your imagination to experiment with pencils, ink, and brayer rollers. We will have fun creating surprise images with mono prints. Develop your design, prepare a hard surface with thin layers of ink, and transfer your unique mirror image onto paper or fabric. Kids will each print their own series of never seen before images to bring home.

The Toe Jam Puppet Band: LIVE at Falmouth Public Library! 1030am
A high energy, interactive music show, Toe Jam Puppet Band is a children’s entertainment group bringing original music to kids of all ages. Hear songs, see a show, laugh, with “lots to do! Lots of humor! Lots of FUN and a Snow Machine!” Add some warmth and laughter to your winter break by signing up online or via QR code for this event.
According to the Boston Globe, Toe Jam Puppet Band are “blazing a path through the world of family entertainment” and “a special brand of hands-on children’s entertainment that grown-ups can actually enjoy”. The Providence Journal noted that “The kids’ involvement steers each show, so every performance is different.” This unique experience performs around New England, so catch them while they’re in town!

Stuffy Sleepover Goes Glamping 330pm Calling all stuffed animals for the ‘glamping’ version of a Stuffy Sleepover! Stuffies of all ages are invited to explore their ‘wild’ side and experience life as a happy camper during February School Vacation Week as they join Barnstable Land Trust and friends to explore the great outdoors (and indoors!) as they snuggle in sleeping bags, gather round the campfire, go for mini-hikes, and more. Human guardians and their plushy pals are invited to a special registration and drop-off

Does someone you know love building with Legos? Drop in at Lego Time and they can build with other kids lids who love Legos too!

Under the Sea Collage Workshop for Kids (Ages 5 & Up) at highlands Hall Falmouth 9am Come experiment with watercolor, tissue, glue, and more to create your own under the sea collage to bring home. What is it like to be a plant living under the sea? We will talk about how seaweed thrives, and how these versatile plants have been used since Victorian times. Together we will have fun exploring the exhibit and creating seaweed scenes that still look wet after they are dry!

Amazing Animal Ambassadors Cotuit Center for the Arts 2pm With a unique variety of animals such as parrots, exotic mammals, large reptiles, and even insects from around the globe, Amazing Animal Ambassadors creates an experience unlike any other. Programs are a hands-on hour long experience where you will learn about creatures from Africa, South America, Australia, Europe, Asia, and even right here in the United States. Get up close and personal with amazing animals brought to you by an experienced presenter for a safe and fun experience. You might even forget you’re learning something at the same time!

Come discover the tracks of our local mammals and learn to identify which mammals leave which types of tracks. In addition to learning our local mammal tracks, we will also discover their other ‘signs’, such as fur traces, scat and scratch marks. Following an animal’s tracks can teach us a lot about who lives in our woods and their behavior. Make some track rubbings and a track cast to take home! This event is best for children ages 5 and up.

Seeing wild animals up close can become a child’s treasured memory, open a whole new world of wonder, and spark a lifelong love of animals. Join Bethany Jakubson in this small setting where you will be able to see these amazing animals up close! She will be showcasing some of her favorite animals from the natural world including birds, mammals, and reptiles. Also on display will be an amazing assortment of taxidermy, furs, and skulls of mammals.

The event includes foggy dry ice storms and demonstrates how giant beach balls can float in the air. We demonstrate fire’s use of oxygen to pull an egg “magically” into a flask! Students are amazed by sizzling, shivering scissors and special bubbly showers!
