Day 150 Cape Cod Festival of Magic 2012 in Yarmouth MA

Sharing is caring!

The Cape Cod Festival of Magic will return to Yarmouth in 2012 from Tuesday August 28th to Thursday August 30th at the Dennis Yarmouth regional high school with 2 shows daily

Harry Houdini and Harry Potter may never have appeared in Yarmouth, yet their traditions of magical mastery will take place in this most magical of settings at the Cape Cod Festival of Magic.  Building upon the success of the “First Annual” Festival last summer, this year’s event will feature stunning acts from world-class performers…guaranteed to knock your socks off (or possibly make them disappear…).
Although being “under the Big Top” for Year One was a unique and family-friendly experience, the Cape Cod Festival of Magic 2012 will be held in the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School auditorium.  Family matinees are at 2:00 p.m., with spectacular evening shows at 7:30 p.m. each day.  For amateur, professional, or hobbyist magicians attending:  a number of daytime lectures will be offered by several of the performers!

Three public “lectures” take place, one each day at 4:00 p.m., after the matinee.  You do not need to be a magician to attend!  Watch how a magic act goes from “okay” to “outstanding” on Tuesday with Joanie Spina.  Learn more about the twists and turns involved in balloon sculpture and balloon magic with The Balloon Guys on Wednesday.  On Thursday, George Schindler and his comical puppet sidekicks will show you the basics of ventriloquism (his lips don’t move!!).
